I cannot begin without mentioning how inauspicious the 24th of the second month feels to start this... or anything, really. I can only hope that we make our own luck. After a fortnight of storms, tonight's forecast is for 'Thundersnow' so I'm clinging to hope at this point.
Today started with an early morning trip to the vets (thankfully only booster jabs) and Lockie's first bus journey home. He was, to my great surprise, a perfect angel so further trips are on the cards.
Earlier thus evening I shared my latest pet portrait project. It's of a beautiful, young Doberman called Layla and I really enjoyed this one. She inspired me to make my favourite portraits available as cute greetings cards, postcards and Christmas ornaments (yes, I know. The C word in February. I'm without a doubt a monster.)
My plan for the next few days is to work on my neutral botanical pattern for this week's design challenge on Spoonflower. It's a really lovely design so far but I am challenging myself with the complexity of the repeat 🙈
